Data Sharing Agreement Template Education

Posted by Josh On April - 9 - 2021

We are constantly accepting DSAs for the current school year. We will begin with the adoption of SAD for the 20-21 school year, which will begin from June 1, 2020 to May 1, 2021. Questions or new in this process? Please contact School – Community Partnerships at 206-252-0518 or if you would like to request a meeting or phone call to discuss access to SPS student data or the conclusion of necessary agreements. Overview: prohibitions against data exchange range from total prohibitions, without authorization, unless approved by the institution, to the need to know the sharing by the contractor`s staff, etc. May also require the signing of a confidentiality agreement. A new agreement on data sharing is needed each year. You can download the DSA model below, fill it out and return to the school team – Community Partnerships, or email MS 33-160, POSTFACH 34165 Seattle WA 98124. All community-based organizations that access the student level using the Student Dashboard and Automated Data Report require a Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) with the school district before students` identifiable data can be exchanged. Why is this important: like the use of data rules, a university may consider data protection rules that prohibit the additional transmission of the institute`s data or provisions that limit the use of the institute`s data through a contract based on staffing needs. Again, because institutions may have other obligations to use or disclose data under federal, national and municipal legislation, including data sharing provisions or a request for a confidentiality agreement to protect the institution in the event of an infringement.
